Changing gears this weekend. An old buddy and are going to drift from Anderson to Redbluff Saturday. This will be the first trout trip of the yr so we'll see how it goes. Chuck and I take turns at tho oars :) He's the vetern and I'm the scissorbill. B) Chuck and I played football together at Taft JC 68-69 so we go back a ways. It's always a good time. I'll have some pictures later.Steve

Beautiful day on the river! The river was flowing at 8 thousand CFS and rising. Chuck (AKA Fuzzy not for the beard but because he pulled around end like Fuzzy Thirston Green Bay Packers in the 60?s) thought the rising water may put the bite off. I landed 5 trout to 22? and one salmon Fuzzy landed one trout and fought 2 salmon. Great action on ultra lights with 6 lb. test. The only fish taken out of the water for a photo was the 22? trout. All others were released from the net untouched. We pulled #30 copper or silver We Worts and side drifted roe.I attempted to dowlload my 22"er photo but was unable to???Fuzzy fighting trout.Posted ImageFuzzy was able to e-mail a copy from his digital.Posted Image

That looks fun. nice fish
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Where do you go to catch strippers? ;) All I get when I fish are the normal variety of swimming fish. You know striper, trout and salmon. I want to go fish with you and your friend! :) I know all it takes is one extra p and I have to rib you about it. ;)

You can find strippers near secluded beaches with shallow water. If you want to catch them, you have to chase them. :) Not sure what the regulations require catch & release.

Oh, I'll keep an eye open for them in the secluded beach areas. :) I thought there might be a law against using your hands to catch them, seems someone told me that before. ;)

You wouldn't want to touch most of them with your bare hands anyways... Not the ones I've seen! :)

Good point! :o Note to self, "Don't touch strippers with bare hands." :) Stiff Neck says look only don't touch! This is from personal experience ;)

I used to fish both of those spots years ago but a buddy had his car broken into at Beer Can last season. Maybe I should go varmint hunting there. :)
