I actually made some stew the other day. I will post pictures soon. I made stew with Braised Jack Rabbit, Apple Cider, potatoes, carrots, Anaheim chilies, bay leafs, basil, oregano, sage and salt and pepper. Tastes yummy.

Wow, I learned something today. I had no idea I was supposed to take them from the field. Can't I just say I was feeding poor defenseless coyotes who are less fortuenate then I. Not like baiting or anything. I was feeding the homeless......coyotes that is :rofl2:Just kidding, I'll not leave them any more.

Wow, this rabbit issue was news to me.  Guess I'll have to make sure to take them with me but seems to be a waste when they could make a good meal for other animals and birds in the area.

Athough there's currently no season on jacks, I seem to recall a season way back in the 70's.  Does anyone else remember that?

and that's what I do. Eat what I shoot. There a hunter on this site. He hunts with high power air rifles for prairie dogs. He's say he does not touch them because of disease to me thats sounds ok. I like to hunt tree squirrels there good eating. shooting animals just to kill them for moving targets and leaving there dead remains just does not sound like a good thing to do. Fun is doing it and dressing it taking it home and cooking it or sealing it plastic for a great meal with the family or yourself is A GREAT Thing and I feel privileged to Be a American that has the freedom to do it.

 coyotes are far from being poor and defenseless lol you know. There good a ripping the neighborhood cats and designer pooches in half. seen it up close here in Glendale in front of my house. Im going wabbit hunting it's fun.(Hare) not Wabbit. year round season no limit. Does not mean I kill everything I can. Just what i can eat and want to eat.

And when you fall down from that high horse, you may, just may, realize that there is also a such thing as overpopulation, disease, and property damage frommanya n animal also, most of which are considered not edible by all (ie. ground squirrels, possums, raccoons, crows, coyotes, even rats or mice). Does not mean they should not be hunted. They would just be poisoned instead, at least they have a fair shake being shot at. There are many reasons to hunt, and not eating every animal that has been put down does not ALWAYS make someone bad. Some may think not knowing or understanding this to be just as bad
