I went to 3 Wal*Marts today and two guns stores. They are all cleaned out of Ammo. Even Turners in OC. I went to cheaperthan dirt on line and alot of the ammo on there is out of stock WTF is going on?? One of the gun ranges had alot of ammo in stock but you could only buy it and shoot it at the range. I did manage to buy the last box of .243 at walmart. They had 20g shells, alot of .17HMR and .22 mag ammo and 25 auto that is it.I am looking for .223 white box 40gr.

I was at Bass Pro Shop the other day and ran into a guy visiting from Idaho. He said it was the same up there. Bass had a good supply of powder, but every thing else was out or low.

There are many primers for sale on Gunbroker.com, I'm not sure what they cost normally but some prices dont seems to be that unreasonable, check it out.

Persistence pays off!! On Saturday I went into Walmart and low and behold, they had some ammo! Three beautiful boxes of 45 auto on the shelf, about a dozen 550 round boxes of 22LR, 40 S&W, and even 44 Magnum! Amazing as my wife had checked the day before and they didn't have any of that and didn't expect to get any in!!I got one brick of the 22LRs and all three boxes of the 45 auto ammo. I commented to the guy that it was the first time I had seen 45 auto on their shelves in long, long time. I think it was really surprising to see the nearly dozen boxes of 44 Mag and the boxes of 40 S&W.Still no .223 but I was encouraged to find what I did find. Maybe it was a fluke or maybe supply is starting to get into the system.

Checked the local independent gun shop this morning. The shelves were fuller than I had seen them in months. Prices are obviously higher than wallmart but just seeing the shelves with some stock again felt good.
