I'm told Swarovski owns this company, are the Kahles comparable or a much less worthy line?

I never heard of em and the price I'm looking at is easily 1/2 that of the Swarovskis. Doesn't seem right somehow.

Kahles invented the rifle scope. Been around longer than any of the optics companys. I have one for my 270. I like it better than my Ziess or Leupolds I never owned a Swaroski so I can't comment on them. For low light you wont be disappointed. Also I don't get eye fatigue as fast as I do on other optics.
Take no guff, cut no slack, hookum, bookum and don't look back.

Last stoopid noobie question. If I buy high end Swarovski binos (or these Kahles) and do not expect to shoot beyond 200-300yards (using a 22-250) then is there any reason to buy an expensive rangefinder or is something good (and significantly cheaper) to 550 yards gonna be adequate? As I understand it, the RF is basically used to gauge distance to landmarks when setting up, not to scope the actual animal, is that right?

Swarovski Optik own Kahles but they're independent company. Just like any European made optics, they're top notch! are you asking about a rangefinder or binos? I'm not sure if Kahles is making rangefinders... swaro does, and they're great but expensive. If you're not shooting beyond 300 yards then Leica will be your best choice.

I'm looking at Kahles binocs...haven't decided on a rangefinder yet. I suspect most of my shooting will be within 50-200 yards...do I even need a rangefinder for yotes? My 22-250 can reach out there with little compensation.
