I am wondering if there's a good reason why these RF/Binocs were discontinued. Anyone know anything?

I ask the guy where I buy my supplies the same question and he said they werent really that good and sales never took off. Everyone wants them now and I am pretty sure they dont even make them anymore. Leupold has come out with a 1200 yard binoc rangefinder combo but no one has them either, and they say they cant get them from leupold. I talked to a rep at Leupold in Oregon and he said they were having a few problems with them but wouldnt say what. Thats my 2 cents worth.

Whaddaya recommend for local (So. Cal) field glasses/rangefinder? I'm a 1st timer who is taking the HSC next weekend and am still learning the basics.

I didn't like mine cause they were to big. I purchased a Leica 1200 CRF and like em alot.

Get a good pair of binoculars( I love my nikon monarchs for the price) and a separate range finder. the range finder will stay in your pack most of the time unless you're bow hunting.
