Estimated User Price: Under $700.00  The FX3 can be upgraded to a FX5 for $200  Sure has a cool remote though
Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

If I'm not mistaken, I belive it is called the AR4 and operates quite differently than the FX3. I have seen this on their site.

So when are they going to start having an on-line home study course to learn how to run these things? Pretty soon you'll need a college degree to operate one. It's nice they have so many sounds but how many do you really need? I like my 32 sound model but I am beginning to get somewhat perturbed that every few months they come out with a new and improved model. I'm not sure that upgrading so fast isn't bad for business because soon people will be holding off buying because they'll be afraid of next weeks upgrade.

$700 is an awful lot for a small pile of electronics. It must skin the coyotes after it calls them in or something. What's the deal?

I agree with 32 sounds being enough, but I like the features on that remote. Plus, if it comes with the 200 sounds installed I can copy them onto my computer and then upload the few that I actually want to use. I know I'd become frustrated and or mad if I had to scroll through 100 + sounds to get to the one I wanted.

Dave,I bet they do really well with them despite the price tag. There are a lot of die hard FoxPro customers out there. I also think that the reputation that the folks at FoxPro has built for themselves (which is exceptional) will put the buyers mind at ease with a big purchase like that.By the way, do you have or have you ever used a FoxPro?

It is funny. Most of our fathers and grandfathers would probably laugh at how "over geared" we all are.

You're probably right!I own the 416, too. I like the FX3/FX5 because it is SOOOOO much easier to change out sounds on the unit.

Sheesh! I think the FX5 is an over engineered example of too much, too complicated, and too expensive. At the rate they are going, the FX27 will have an HD DVD plasma display of an injured animal that outputs animal specific scents with a digital video camera built in to capture the shot in MPEG form. It will have a WIFI link to instantly broadcast it to your favorite predator hunting forum for repeated viewing. $700? They must be smoking something.

Dave, I'm starting to agree with you but it won't be a HDTV it will be a Holographic imaging system where a wounded animal in 3D thrashes about on the ground.

Well with the amount of hunters out in the field I guess you need every upper hand you can get. With all of the electronic callers and everyone using them the coyotes will catch on and mouth calls are going to work that much better. With everyone using the same sound it's going to get tuff with all the educated dogs.

Why do I own 8 handguns, 18 rifles, and 4 shotguns? Heck if I know.

That's all? Then I'm much worse than you. ;)

You got them because they are fun to play with. That new Fox Pro seems to do everything but shoot your predator, Differant sounds for differant predators in some cases, Sure is a neat unit though. Way to much money for me to spend but I bet they sell like hotcakes and will be backordered in short order. So everyone go get one and sell me your "OLD" one with the 32 sounds and remote, cheap, so you can go buy some batteries for your new FX5. Still is a neat unit with a lot of bells and whistles, Throw in a dancing girl and I may have to sell a couple of my guns and buy one myself..Walt
