I saw a Mt Lion today up at Indian Valley Rec Area. I was flying around a corner on a dirt road and there he was about 25 yards in front of me. We were both caught off guard, I've seen lots of rabbits on the road but never lions. I hit the brakes and he scampered off the road into the brush. It had a lot more red/orange in it's fur than I expected. Pretty neat! First one I've ever seen in the wild.

Was he just lion in the road  Thats cool.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

When I was in High School a guy from the DFG lived next to us and he would invite me out to do the deer heard counts at night(wanted some one to hold the spot light) and it was fun. You know they only count the deer on one side of the road only thought that was kind of funny but I guess so you don't miss any going side to side. Anyways we where driving up behind Davis Creek and we seen a big Lion and she had two cubs I had the spot light right on her the two cubs went off to the side of the road and just sat there while mommy sat in the road. We sat there and watched back for about 5 or 10 min. and drove off. One of the coolest things I have seen.

While driving up to West Point, CA one night I saw a lion catch and kill a raccoon. Just saw them coming toward the road and stopped in time to see the lion catch the raccoon and kill it with a few bites them carried it across the road and gone.A17Shooter
