Pulled the trigger and ordered up a new rifle. I got a Tikka T3 Lite in 223 inbound to my local FFL. Got it for $490 shipped! Not bad! I'll scope it up and dress it in camo. Im diggin this whole varmint/predator hunting thing. Camopaint and BgBamBoo got me all pumped up about it. Just wish i could have gotten in it sooner. Thanks guys.

Thanks guys. i have done my homework and although there where so many rifles to chooese from, Tikka gave me the best result, pound for pound, for the best price. I also have found that this rifle fluctuates in price 100-150 dollars. WTF! The lowest price I found was from... *** if you'd like to know, please send $25 to my paypal for the answer***JK Ok,ok ok... I found Impact Guns and Ozark Guns to have the best prices.

Last I heard Ozark Guns was closed because the owner Bob Kotula was called back to service. I wonder if someone else is running it. Because that's not like Bob. He's a great guy I've dealt with many times in fact he was stationed in my town while in the Air Force. I'll check and see if he's back if not I'll let him know what happened.

I have a Tikka T3 lite in .243 and love it. I think you will as well.I got mine from budsgunshop.com for I think 485 shipped.Get that thing painted and dialed in over the spring and summer and you'll be nice and ready for coyote season to start. That's my plan.... new scope, paint job, etc.....

What do you think of the trigger and is it adjustable? I'm interested in a .223, .243 and a 7mm-08. It's a choice between Tikka and Savage. Ed

Trigger is adjustable *2-4lb*I havent felt a 223 yet (none in stock locally)but i have felt one in 243 and 30-06... feels light and crispy! Very nice.

Planning on a Leupold VXII 3-9X. I checked one out at a local shop and it is very bright and clear. Plus it's lightweight, only around 12 oz I think.I'm Bud's prices have gone up on most everything, just like most places. As you said, I think the Tikkas are the best deal going.... I used to be a big Savage fan, but I feel like the Tikkas are nicer for about the same price.

Congrats! I have a T3 Lite in 22-250 and it is a great rifle. The triggers are great and the bores are so smooth it only takes a couple patches to give it a good cleaning.

It was 519 at Buds. I got it from Impact Guns for 493 shipped. My FFL charges me 50 bux including DROS.

Well, its been a little while, but forgot to update you guys on how it came out. Heres the finish product. Ended up cancelling the T3 Lite and got the T3 Varmint.EGW picatinny mountSeekins Precision ringsBushnell Elite 4200 2.5-10x50Harris bi-pod notched legs and swivelNow I just need October to come around so I can shoot a coyote with it! lol

Curious what the total weight is on that rig - looks heavy with that huge varmint barrel on it...I'm going through the same "what gun should I get" decision, but I tend to put in 4-5 miles on foot during an average hunt - so heavy is NG.
