Went for crow but saw a couple of jackrabbots... came in closer and slowly turned around and saw that distinctive shape in the corner or my eye, behind me. It was still so had enough time to adjust my shot... maybe 30 yards away. So the jackrabbit attracted me but caught a cottontail in the end.So 2 week-ends in a row got 2 cottontails, within 15 min of starting :DThanks to Peter's leftover ammo too... Magnum 12ga + full choke does the trick. Magnums seem to add 10 yards maybe and the noise/recoil isn't that much bigger than regular loads.Pics soon... going for Quail/Cottontail in San Felipe now and fishing in Cuyamaca later today.

He he... Poisson's law: Stuff happens in bursts I have to thank my eyesight for that one... the critter was under a tree and barely recognizable but the 2 ears gave it away. It was probably thinking it was invisible to me so just sat there frozen. Wrong move!
