Great guns. My brother in law has 3 XD's and I've shot them all. 2-9mm and 1-.45 acp. All of them are the standard version. I would buy one if I was wanting another handgun.

loaders_loft has one and I've been shooting several of those XD45's trying to decide if I need another pistol. It's a toss up between the XD45 and SIG P220. The SIG has the dependability and quality I came to like when I was in the Navy but the price tends to make me look at the XD45 more and more. I hate decisions!!!

You cannot go wrong with the XD 45. I have the 4" model... Out of all the guns I own, I would trust my XD over any of them, pump shotguns aside or all the same. I've got only about 1500 rounds through mine but it has been flawless. It has fallen in rivers with me, been dropped in the mud and it has shot perfect every single round from the crappiest of ammo to the higher quaility HD rounds...I say buy it and never think twice.

I highly reccomend the Tactical model. Size does matter after all. I shot IPSC with Tactical .40 and it was much easier to handle and faster with the recoil management.D

It's a great piece. I have a friend here in SoCal who works for a company contracted by the DOD and police agencies to test weapons before they buy them. He's tested the XD's a lot and says it's a great piece.
