Here is a photo of my first hog call. It makes the grunts and squeals of a young pig. It should work well for calling wild hogs. This one is not for sale. It is going to be field tested by a member of this board. I hope he don't get ate by an angry feral hog. :roflmao3[1]: Posted Image

Nice going Rich. Did you happen to make a sound track of it? I would love to hear it, and I'll bet you can really make it sound great.

Rich, I can't honestly say I have ever hear a pig in the wild before, but that sure did sound good. I am waiting for others to comment that have heard pigs.

Wish I had one to Field test for you while I was in Texas last week. I managed to shoot two small porkers. The big ones are only coming out at night.

That sound is very close Rich. When I had my 3 month old meat hog castrated he sounded a little more high pitched but then again someone was yanking out his testes .I am sure it will work I bet it will bring in a coyote or 2.

I just played the soundfile... My dog was starring at my computer with her head cocked and one ear up... And the cat was trying to claw the speaker...

That sounds great That should bring in a coyote also.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

I have not received any feedback from the field tester. When I get caught up with my call orders, I will search out another possible hog hunter. ehd likes to hunt hogs don't he?

I was the one that Rich sent the hog caller to. This weekend was supposed to be my test, but it has been delayed a couple of weeks because of a couple of things that came up. It did drive some domestic pigs nuts the other day when I did test it on them. The grunts had them heading my direction, and then a couple of squeals later they were going crazy! Can't wait to test this out in the field!Darren

Thanks for the reply Darren. I think I am getting a bit senile in my advancing age. Shucks, I couldn't even remember who I sent that call to. :smiley_green_with_envy:
