Look what I did today when i tried to put on the new trigger guard. I was screaming mad. I tried to call Stag today to see what I can do, but they're closed. I really hope I just didnt turn this into a very expensive paper weight.This was especially frustrating because I even bought all of the roll punches and tools that are recommended for installation. I tapped it a few times and .... well, you see the results.

You and me both. Someone else told me that they can recast another with the same serial number for me. I will find out on Monday.

Ouch:I was afraid of doing that same thing because the pin is such a tight fit, so I pre crushed the roll pin with pliers so it slid in alot easier.I'de rather have it come out than me do the same thing.Hope they can fix it up for Ya'If not I'm thinking some good Epoxy will do the job and instead of the roll pin use a nut bolt.

Actually it was already attached when I bought the lower ... I was trying to get it off. I agree on having to crush some of those roll pins, though!

Its just a trigger guard just epoxy it back together nobody will be able too tell.or have someone tack it with a tig ( welds aluminum)

Hey Steve:A roll pin will have a slit in it lenght wise.If yours solid with no slit down it lenght wise then you have a solid pin.Personally I would not use a solid pin as something needs to give and as you can see by Fuelies pic the wrong thing gave because of to tight of a fit.If I ever take mine back out it will be replaced with an Aluminum Roll PinRoll Pin Squis it alittle with pliers to make it narrower.

That sucks Heath-I hope they take care of you but I can't see them casting you another one with the same serial number though.

Why's that? Several of the manufacturers do it already. Some do add an "R" onto the serial number to indicate it has been recast.

Yup: As long as they destroy the original they can assign the same numbers to the new one.

No special meaning for the serial number, I just would rather not have a "ifxed" lower if I can get Stag to help me out.

I just got off the phone with the folks at Stag Arms. If I send them the broken lower they will recast it for me with the same serial numbers and ship it back to me in 4 - 6 weeks. Good news for me! And to make the whole situation a little better they will do this for me at no charge! All I've got to do is ship it to them.Stags Arms gets two thumbs up from me!

Great news! Won't have to Re-DROS! I think its time to start saving up for a STAG myself

The part that really makes this awesome is that the damage is no fault of their own. And yes, they will ship to directly back to me so there won't be another DROS fee.

It arrived in the mail today! Almost 8 weeks to the day (as they said it would be), but they did replace it at no cost to me. Thanks Stag for fixing my screw up!!
