Never used it:O.K. I wa sat the a shop today looking for Butches Bore Shine.They didn't have any ANyway I look at a bottle of Sweets, right at the top of the battle it say's Not harmful to metel.Then in the instuctions it say's do not leave in bore for more than 15 min.This leads me to beleive it is harmful to the bore. Also everyone always says it will ruin a bore if left in it to long.So which is it, Harmful or Not.

If its left in the barrel I think it will harm it. Sweets is STRONG stuff. If you want to clear out copper fouling this solvent will get the job done.

You definitely don't want to leave it in over 20 minutes. But if you have copper fouling it removes it. I use it and think it's good stuff. But you must be careful with it too. The Butches Bore Shine is safer and what I use mostly at the range. But I carry a bottle of Sweets. When I get home the guns get Wipe-Out and sit overnight.

You may want to try Bore Tech Eliminator,have been using it about a year now and even leave it in the barrel after last patch showed no more copper fouling,Link attached http://www.boretech....introducing.htm
