Anyone ever tried this ammo? It certainly is cheap. The ad calls them "Barnes X solid copper Hollow Point Bullets" but also calls them FMJ Boat Tails. Are they hunting legal in California?http://www.sportsman...a...498503&pn=1Woo
What is this stuff?

The PMC Gold line is Barnes as it is on the California approved use for lead free zones.Darren

Their Ad is one of the stupidest that I have seen."PMC™ Hunting and Target Rifle Ammunition: The Gold Line offers Barnes X solid copper Hollow Point Bullets and hunter-proven 30-30 "Starfire" bullet with an extra-broad hollow point cavity for extra-deep penetration." How does an "extra broad hollow point" get "extra-deep penetration"?

The ad was certainly poorly written. I read it to mean that they were selling FMJ hollow points. Wouldn't that be defeating the purpose of a FMJ round? However, they do have good prices on ammo and were the only place I found that had .17 Rem in stock and at only $23/box of 20.WooTheir Ad is one of the stupidest that I have seen.
