Well a friend and I and my dog Honor went to the Family Pheasant Hunt this morning near Fraiser Park. Weather report called for 22 degrees and snow but it was 31 degrees when we got there and no snow. I think they were a day off and the storm will hit tonight.Anyway got there at 0630 and the hunt actually started a little after 0800. We had our 4 birds in about 45 minutes. Checked in by 0900, cleaned the birds ate lunch and were home by 1100. They were planted birds but they flew hard and were really nice birds. I now have 4 Pheasant in the freezer because I got 2 last Sunday also.My daughter was chosen for the hunt also but did not go because of a Christmas Music Program at Church.12 days until her Deer Hunt. Will post pics soon.My dog, Honor did fantastic again! First bird of the day came from another area and 3 people shot at it. It flew towards us and I shot and Daryl shot but we also missed. After that, Honor pointed 4 birds and we dropped them all cleanly. 4 retrieves later we were finished. I think we were the first group done but there were only 2 of us and other groups had 3 or 4 people.Really a great hunt.

Sounds like a good day. What kind of dog do you have? Any pics of the birds?

I did not have any good pictures. I just got them a few minutes ago from PapaD and here they are.This is me right after we got the 4th bird. At the truck getting ready to go check in. Just before we cleaned the birds and headed home.It was clear but cold. Started out at 22 degrees and went up to 40.Great day (hour) in the field.
