I chose to watch the sunrise on the second day of waterfowl season here in NY it opened on turkeyday this year . At around 7:15 a gaggle came my way but was a little out of range for me so i waited and about 10 minutes later more of the same .Both had about 10 geese so i knew there where more i live on a roost for geese and it's a one shot deal so when they clear out it all ducks for the rest of the day at around 7:30 a lone crow flew by so i dusted him setting off the last gaggle this one had about 55 and they where heading right for me in V formation i chose the first on on the left off point

it took both remaining shot but he's heading for the pot . As i watched him fall earthbound a greenhead jumped up as i was sqeezing in a fresh round i shouldered the 835 wingshooter and let the 3 1/2 inch remmington nitro steel fly

he dropped knot a bad first morning .The afternoon was better broke out the Fox pro zr2 and set up for crows with my buddy jimmy we have a sweet spot where they fly by to there roost of about 5000 on a local farm in 2 hours we did well he got 5 i got 4 and his pop scored 4 himself great openning day for sure . Here i am with the afternoons quarry and my 835 mossberg
