[Stiff Neck]

I'm getting the itch to paint my new Savage plastic stock camo. I just need to find a suitable pattern. Here are some of the pattens I like that I've seen others post. I don't think I want leaves and twigs, but I do like neat patterns that blend in to their surroundings. This one is sweet!Any ideas? I just got a new can of Kryon "Make it stone" spray paint in tan sand texture. It actually looks like sand sprayed on with texture and everything. Kinda cool.Here is an SKS Choate stock I did a while back. I like the colors but it's a little too plain.

Great minds think alike! Don't forget to use a matte protectant over the final coat, or the paint will wear and show shiny spots like on the palm swell of my SKS pictured above. I was going to do it, but never got around to it.

I pulled a leaf off of the tree out in the yard and used that as an outline.

I like that one too Sterling, but I'd lean more towards the browns instead of the greens/yellows. I don't have an airbrush, but I think I can work something out. I'm currently messing around with the Krylon paints I already have and will report soon. :)Tomcat, looks like you got your hand a little bit... ha!

Anybody know which area stores sell Krylon webbing paint in black? Walmart has lots of Krylon paint, but not the webbing stuff.

I think my local ACE hardware store carries the webbing paint, maybe all ACE's carry the same inventory if you have one local?

I think Joel is right. Most ACE Hardware stores carry the unique stuff other places don't.

Allright, that cool swirly pattern above ain't gonna happen unless I have an airbrush. Maybe I'll just do the sand color/texture as a base and then use a net or doile as cover and spray on that olive green on top. Hmmm... Or maybe I'll leave it alone until I get a chance to shoot it first!

I did notice that and the pink ceiling. Yes, I get the sneaky suspicion he may be a redneck.

I grabbed a pair of my wife's web stockings and cut off a leg. I slipped it over an SKS stock I had painted flat black and tied the stocking snug. Then I painted over it with olive green. It turned out kinda neet. The only "light" spots are shown right there behind the grip. The rest of it is perfect.
