Nice Buck!! You are doing way better than us. Last weekend and we are still ZERO for five tries. Guess another year with no deer in the freezer.

Thanks.Well we went up like around 3:00pm and got to our spot around 3:30..around 5:00 we were at the top i circled around and above just in case anything ran up or came down...while this guy, a couple of does and a smaller forky were caught in the middle. Bamm! He died instanly with a heart shot...I came down to see what happened and I see a doe and another deer(my dad said it was the other forky) running my way...but they were like less then 10 yards away and i didnt see the antlers before they ran out of site. It was very foggy..the drag out was easy compared to previous bucks we've killed...it was all downhill for once.

I feel your pain. Between Oregon and California this year, we got nothing. There were 4 of us hunting and usually two or three of us come home with deer. Both areas were depressing. Oregon, we saw bucks the day before the opener...then NOTHING. It was crazy. We always see bucks, even at least a fork in the horn. California, well, we always expect nothing. lol. Next year, Im not putting in for D6, I tell the hubby its over done with over 10,000 tags sold last year.

Browning goddess, I was fishing in d6 just this s'morning. Seen lot's of big body does with bucks hot their trail. A big, wide rack 6 pointer stepped out in front of my truck. He stopped and gave me alittle catwalk modeling show before calming walking off. He must have known i didn't get a deer tag this year :signs1180lq: . I'm frustrated with myself. Learned a lesson about keeping a tag in the glove box just in case .

that buck sure was swollen in the neck. boy, this storm just missed everyone having better luck..just a few days late...My brother in law shot a 3x3 on Friday, but nobody else in the family was lucky in California. Good thing I still can bear hunt.
