Well Steve gave me my new FOXPRO that I won in the CPC raffle today. So I thought that I would go out and give it a try. I thought I liked my Johnny Stewart Preymaster which I do, but it does not compare to the FOXPRO this thing is loud and crystle clear on sound. I would like to thank FOXPRO again for donating this to CPC what a great prize. So anyway got off work at 4:00 and headed out to the spot first place I wanted to call I seen a coyote running in the field so went to the next spot so I didn't get busted save that one for another day. I get set up and set the FOXPRO up about 50' in front of me and put on the delay and got set up. Not even two min. and I see a huge dog come running in jumping up in the grass to catch a peek he came into about 50 yards and kind of sit down and looked I put the cross hairs right on his chest and squeezed of whaaaaap I seen him go down in the grass. I looked for that thing for a half hour its to hard to find them in grass that is higher than a foot so I didn't get a pic of my first coyote with the FOXPRO but the day wasn't over yet. I head off looking for a place where if I shot one I could find it and set up. I did a repeat of last time and set there for about 15 min and did not see anything so I thought I would try one more spot before the sun went down just as I started to creep up I see two yotes about 500 yards coming my way slowly I set back down I had to wait another 15 min for them to come in seemed like a hour with your heart racing. All the sudden the one turns and takes off running and I'm like dog poop they smelled me and then he turns around and takes off about mach2 and jumps the ditch and I'm back in the game he trotted in about 20 yards almost to the call looks up and good nite another coyote slayed.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

The FoxPro is a great little unit and hard to beat. Nice job. I thought you were giving up coyote hunting for awhile? Or your wife didn't hide the caller well enough. ;)

I had the little lady put it up and Steve went and put another one in my truck today so it's his fault. I have a hard time waiting I keep saying I'm done until summer but like a magnet I keep getting drawn out there. I have no will power. Maybe this will be my last weekend its hard to give a guy a new toy and not let him play with it. ;)

I've been using the Fox Pro for several years now. I use it primarily as a secondary call. I place the call out in front of the call site anywhere from 30 yards to 100 yards depending on what type of weapon I am using. I will utilize a mouth call as a primary call and have the Fox Pro on at a low volume level. When the coyote or bobcat responds to my mouth call, the target animal hears the Fox Pro, and responds to the caller. This keeps the responding animal away from my scent path and allows me more freedom of movement to video the action. I have been utilizing this techinque for many years and it works wonderfully. The majority of my coyotes/bobcats are taken with shotgun at a range of under 30 yards while the coyote's are still running at me. I have outstanding hours of video of this. I've actually had one coytote run into me while videoing the call sequence. The damn dog hit my camera while I was holding it, went down wind of me, raised it's guard hair, and ran away. My hunting partner shot him as it ran by. I've owned and used several electronic callers and none have compared to the Fox Pro. I sent the unit back to the factory and several of my own sounds programed onto the caller. As far as I'm concerned, the Fox Pro, without a doubt, is the best unit availible today. I swear by it. Jeff

Ha! No the wife and I are good like that about our money. After the bills are paid what ever is left from our individual checks is ours to spend as we see fit. I don't think we-ve ever had an arguement about money.

Nice going. if you realy want to quit let me hold your fox pro till next year for you ;)
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Then you wouldn't have no time for the bunnies. You would be to busy shooting coyotes all the time. ;)
