Yep DB knows his animals. 
We have our very own Buzzard mascot here on the site he goes by bzzrd feedr.Here is a picture of him making some feed for his buzzard kin from his SAV (squirrel assault vehicle)!

I've been around more than a few wet hounds. A buzzard just might smell better.Did you know that a buzzard can smell better than a blood hound.

They hear pretty good too, when I was thinning that ranch regularly where SJ took that pic the Turkey Vultures (we call them buzzards) would show up in force right after we started shooting. Also some Redtail Hawks would show up occasionally. Problem with the avian predators is that they really put the rodents down. Up in Cedarville the Balds, Hawks and Seagulls really eat up those butterflied Belding Ground squirrels. In Alaska they call Balds buzzards.
