Been seeing this wabbit for a couple weeks...so early this morning I took up a position at rear of the house and waited...a few minutes later, he showed up...this shot was uphill at 26 yards thru my wire fence at top of hill.....when the pellet hit him.he flipped up in the air...I climbed the hill in my backyard and there he was...anchored in my storm drain...RWS 850 Magnum .177 cal. CO2 (8) shot repeater...recently tuned...averages 810 FPS on JSB Exacts...No blood...so he died instantly...I used a Crosman Premier 7.9 gr pellet..Posted ImagePosted ImageI had this rifle tuned(stronger trigger spring, valve porting, etc) because it would try to valve lock in 90 F + weather...put it on chrony Friday with ambient temp at 93 F and no more valve locking...It was 57 F this morning when I took this rabbit...93 F (10/16/08) Chrony test....JSB Exacts 8.4 gr...1. 804 FPS 2. 807 3. 8094. 815.65. 815.26. 811.17. 813.58. 810.0Low: 804.7High:815.6Avg: 810.8ES: 10.9SD: 3.74Posted Image

:smiley_kewlpics: :signgreatreport3kg: Your 850 is doing a fine job, that's for sure. That bunny never knew what hit him. It will fry up real nice too. I love fried rabbit I think it's much better than gray squirrel but my uncle would disagree with me.That is a pretty consistent string for the gun after the tune. It also a good looking gun too. :good:

The guy that did it specializes on 850 tunes,HPA conversions,etc....so he knows how to port valve, set up trigger...This rifle is heavier than the Disco but is very accurate..and I like the Synthetic stock...I can use this rifle from 55 F to 95 F (CO2 being temperature sensitive)....when it was stock,i would get into valve locking issues and power would drop off to 600 FPS in 90+ weather...I'm debating whether or not to convert my other one to HPA... if it would shoot up around 930 in .177 cal..,I may consider it..that would be near 10 FT/LBS energy at 60 yards....if not, I may sell my stock one (only 5 months old) and get a fill tank for my Disco...
