These were taken in MO in the spring of 2004. I took the first bird opening day and had to wait a week to fill my second tag; my fist bird was 22 pounds and had 1 1/4" spurs. My brother wasn't expecting to get to hunt any, so when he called and said he had the day off I agreed to call for him. We had 5 toms that came in 5 minutes after we were seated. He shot the biggest one and I was able to call the other 4 back. After 5 minutes of them sticking around I couldn't stand it any longer and filled my second tag.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I so love to watch and hear a long beard coming to the call while he is in full strut ... it's amazing! Now I am going to have to go watch a hunting video!

Dose it open this weekend ? I got to go have no clue what Im doing  but got to try.
You can hop but you can't hide. Yahi Bowmen. Its not how far you can shoot but how close to the game you get when you shoot. Sights we don't need any sights. Why waist time reloading when I can be making arrows.

Wear full camo to include a face mask and gloves. They are champs and picking up movement so keep it to a minimum when they are coming in. Decoys are a GREAT help. What kind of call do you have?Looks like it starts the last Saturday of March.http://www.fgc.ca.go...s05.html#300a1g
