I have recently been scouting for this coming turkey season and I must say Im excited. On my last trip I found a couple of merriam toms not to far from my place. The reason Im so excited is that i never have seen merriams at my elevation they are usually higher up. Im already drooling at the thought of his nice big tail fan next to my rio grande fan in my room.

Nice!! You know you've accomplished something if you can take a long beard with a bow.

That's a nice bird. I wish I had a picture of the one I got with my air rifle. Yes, it's legal to use an air rifle if it's .20 cal or bigger. Only took me 5 minutes of hunting too. And no, I didn't shoot one around my house either. :)

No, it was actually a construction site in a different county. Okay, a friend was having a house built.

I started shooting a pse fitzgerald that I bought on ebay about 2 years ago. I liked bowhunting so much I bought the mathews switchback. The switchback is an awesome bow,I used gold tip arrows with 100 grain muzzy broadheads to take this turkey.

Well I went back to check on the merriams and of course they were not on the same roost. I knew the rain was gonna push them around a bit. Here comes the scoutin again, gotta love it though!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know exactly where there they go. It's gonna be hard to find them cause they were on a ridge that breaks off into three more ridges, and its on a big mountain with alot of big clumps of tree's. I'm not sayin' I am not going to go look for 'em though,I never give up.
