Three things are must have accessories for airgunning in a dog town, or going after ground squirrels for that matter. First is a good laser range finder, second is a scope with mildots, and third is a Stoney Point bipod to shoot from. Add in a good accurate air rifle, some ability to dope the wind, and you are in for one of the most fun shoots anyone can ever ask for.
Knocked the dust off of him. Mildot's are good yes they are.

Laser rangefinders are great. No trees in the dog towns either. I shoot standing. With my knees, if I kneel down, I'll have every prairie dog within 200 yards busting a gut watching me trying to get back up.
Great "wind" shot...!!I just bought a Nikon ProStaff 550 rangefinder...very handy and much quicker than "mil doting" squirrels...I've been using sniper sticks kneeling as most of the time there are no trees to lean against...just brush, and boulders..
