First one was 72 yards..pellet hit home and I noticed squirrel bolted off boulder to my right leaving a 'red' trail it seemed...when I got over to where I shot em,there was only a string of guts about 30" long...!!

The next squirrel I got from 53 yards...

Mrod .25 cal...JSB Kings..

Nice shooting! Those .25's must hit hard.

Very good shooting at that range. I hit one running in a tree last year a bit too far back with a .25 Predator from my Stubby gun (only 33 fpe at muzzle) and it left a hard ball size clump of guts hanging out as it hung to the tree branch long enough for a finishing shot. At 40+ fpe ME for the .25s the MRods have a lot of power relative to small game and do tremendous damage. It's deceiving because they are so quiet except for the pellet impact. Unlike a 22 LR that drills a little hole right through the pellets tend to transfer all of the energy to flesh.

I heard a loud 'twaak' at impact on both...I have more instances of guts being 'blown' out with the .25 cal than ever with my .22's...
