I know you're looking at one of those not yet banned lowers. Sounds good to me. If I didn't already own and have these guns registered (paper work from hell!) I'd sure look at buying one. ;)

John,I wouldnt be getting another one if CA wasn't all about keeping me from having one! I have 2 in MO already in 223 so I am seriously considering a 25 WSSM that I could take to WY for antelope and then swap out an upper for cheap plinking at prairie dogs.

As a semi-retired motor head I am here to tell you that quality machine work is NOT cheap. Considering the work that goes into making this spiral fluting come out correctly this really is a good price in MHO.Joel,I am sure a varmint would be proud to have their demise come via that nice looking setup!!

The price of spiral fluting just caught me off guard. I'd pay $125 as it does tie in the whole setup to make it look very unique.BTW - do a lot of squirrel/coyote hunters use AR's?

Awesome. What optics you going to top it with? What scope mount are you using? I used the Larue SPR on my AR in MO.

I decided to have another upper built. I am going with a 25 WSSM this time around. It will do double duty as a predaotr rifle for me and a great deer rifle for my wife and or sister in-law. Undoubtedly my brother may want to take it with him to WY next year for antelope and then swap over to the 223 for the prairie dogs after the antelope hunt is finished!!

So far it's sight unseen but I know it has a 22 inch bead blasted Douglas stainless barrel. I'm waiting for some pictures and shipping info. I just wanted to put a hold on it so it didn't slip away like another gun I wanted did recently. He said it's only had a few hundred rounds through it. I hope it looks good.
