No pics....but up all night, bored and felt like posting :)

Deer steak that I'll call a tri-tip (I butchered the deer and had no idea what I was doing) Thursday night, pan seared 3 1/2 minutes per side came out perfect.  I figure the steak was about 3 pounds.  I hunted 42 years to get my first deer.  Licenses, tags, gas, etc etc for 42 years.  That had to be a $1000 piece of meat.  :653:

They say that 10% of the hunters kill 90% of the deer.

 But it takes time and perseverance to stay successful.

Got to taste real good...perhaps with a little red vino to make it just a little better...

Congrats for staying with it.  

If you had a camera or smart phone I bet the picture would have you with a real wide grin on your face.

I would say that meat cost more then that after all that time and money but well worth it.Next time check out YouTube on cutting up the deer its real easy to follow and it helps a lot.
