X-Bow broadhead adjustment?

5 posts in this topic

I just got a x-Bow to hunt with. Yes I have a disabled permit. I am completely new to X-Bows and have not used a bow in many years.

I am using a Muzzy fixed broadhead. Do I need to "time" it such as align the blades with the fleching? Or just screw it on tight?

I am using a 20" bolt.

Rifles, reloading and pistols I know well. I am just getting started with X-bows and need to learn.

Thanks for any help

I've heard of people aligning the broadhead blades with the fetching but in my experience it never seemed to make any difference. Before going through the hassle of trying to "time" them I would just fling a couple down range and see how they fly. Some broadheads historically just fly well regardless, others not so much.

I always had good luck mayching my broad heads to my fletching with my arrows. It wmade a big differance for me. Shoot your bolts and see how accurate they are and then you can decide to tune them or not.
