Remington Express?

8 posts in this topic

I'm relocating my reloading bench from the garage to a front bedroom. I knew I had these but never thought much about them. I had a student teacher give me 10 boxes of Remington Express 20 gauge 3" shells. They are a paper casing. Are they worth saving or just good dove fodder? Just thinking they may be a collectors item.

I would say they would be collectable. I have seen gun shops, stores, and trophy rooms that have used stuff like this in their displays. Has to be a market for them some where. Some people here may even buy a box if you wanted to sell them. Somebody will have a better answer than I do.

I have an old green paper 12 gauge. Don't know what to do with it. Tom

People are collecting older shotgun shells like those especially if they are in the factory boxes and the boxes are in good shape.

If nothing else you can trade them or sell them and should be able to get at least 20 boxes of 20 ga newer shells that would be better for dove hunting.

Do some searches for older paper shotgun shells in the factory boxes. I am pretty sure you will find out that there are people out there that want them.

I'd hang on to them or sell them to someone that collects. The colors on the box look nice and bright and you just dont see paper hulled 20's very often. Back then the 16 ga. was the second to the 12. What color are the hulls? If they are anything other than yellow I would definitley keep them.

When / if there are guns shown in your area , either sell them yourself ( sign on you walking around ) or find someone with a table & sell them off their table . Split the boxs ( 7 for you , 3 for him ) or money . Collectors will buy them . I'd like a box .

Kinda like " consignment " .
