After the rain last night I decided to use the cloud cover to cover the moon and get into one of my spots...Little did I now it was going to be a cold -n- foggy morning! They stayed on the roost longer, but were still plenty fired up...Right off I knew it was going to be a repeat of opener with the Jake parade. I stopped counting after 12. They're aggressive too...

Long beards want no part of 'em and are hanging back, don't blame 'em...These two were the first to take it to my decoy...

Thinking they're all that I'd about had enough of the decoy abuse and decided to take one...Right after this picture I thumped the one on the left, with the arrow going into his wing butt and exiting his thigh, just like I like it... :yahoo:

We were at Spenceville yesterday - Saw and heard a few, but couldn't get close enough to get 'em. Couldn't get 'em to come to the call in the morning, although we had 'em gobblin' for an hour in the morning. Resorted to spot/stock, but I swear they see you coming from 150 yds away. Hubby stalked one that was hunkered down in a tree, but turned out to be a female... Lake Sonoma this weekend!

Spenceville is hunted to the extreme and all of the animals are wary. That's why you need to put in allot of foot work out there to make a score. Better luck at Lake Sonoma.

Yeah, we didn't get up there until about 4:30 on Tuesday evening, but had to set-up camp at Camp Far West - what we didn't know is that they lock the gates at 7 pm in the 'winter', so we by the time we got camp set up, we only had about an hour to go up and look around. We'll know better next time, LOL.

In pressured areas, hunt later 10-2...You'll see a big difference!

I need to go and try to get one. Cool pictures.
Yes you do...It's good right now, but will only get better as the hens go to nest. Then it's game on for the big boys!
