KNOCKED UP

Time for change

3 posts in this topic

The other day when I was shooting out at Grants place, I noticed that my scope on the Savage 17HMR was a little loose. I also noticed that I didn't like the bi pod on my Howa 243, and I took it off while waiting for Grant to call in asecondd dog. Today I put the bi pod on the 17HMR and tightened the scope up. Well, it wasn't the scope that was loose, it was the screws holding the mounting bracket to the barrel. I put everything back together and put Locktite on the screws. Now it's ready to sight in both guns again.Tom

I had the same problem with my .308 after putting on a new scope. Now its back in order. At first I just thought I was fatigued at the end of the day that is why I was getting fliers but for once it wasn't my shooting just my mounting!!
