Bino Harness

11 posts in this topic

Bino harness, really tired of the bino's swinging from side to side. When I sling it over one shoulder it seems to get in the way of the gun sling. Not real concerned about the weight around my neck, but I must admit a day of carrying them in the field can be a pain. BassPro has them pretty cheap, $20 buck or so. Anybody using them. Tony

I have the Crooked Horn harness on every pair of Binos I own. I buy the harness before I even use the Binos. I convinced my Brother to get a pair before he horse back trip into Wyoming on an Elk hunt a few years ago. He was super pleased when he got back because the Bino's just stayed on his chest regardless of what the horse was doing, getting on and off, etc. They are the only way to go.

I do something similar but different...I use OP/TECH "Bino/cam Harness" combined with Crooked Horn's "Bino Shield" to protect the glass and eliminate lens caps.http://optechusa.com/bino-cam-harness.htmlBUT I hike a lot and a bino harness doesn't work well under the hiking pack shoulder straps, so I added a pair of OP/TECH "Backpack Connectors" to the shoulder straps of my hiking pack. These mate with the clips on my binoculars so I can suspend the binos from the pack straps. Easy access and no weight around my neck.I plan to add another pair of Uni-Loops to my SLR camera so I can carry it using the same harness system when I don't need the binoculars.I spent a little more but gained a lot of versatility. Sounds complicated but works great. :signs653wf:

I've been using the Bass Pro bino harness for a couple of years now and have no complaints. It keeps my binos out of the way when I'm hiking around and yet handy when I need them.

Crooked Horn is the shiz-nizzle! Plus, Lennis Janzen is a local Tehachapi guy. Good people!
