A friend of mine inheireted? a few guns from his grandpa, one of them being this Benjamin Franklin Model 342 .22 cal. serial#T46406. Anybody know anything about these, Thanks Tom088.jpg

That particular Benjamin was manufactured in 1969 according to that serial number.Model 342 Pneumatic, .22 cal. pellet, single shot w/ under lever pump & checkered stock & fore end (1st var.) Rifle They were manufactured from 1968-1986.

Thanks SJ, what or where can I find out more about it, like how many times should it be pumped, and any maintenance that should be done on it. It looks like the fore end has been replaced. It seems to shoot fine. Who knows how long it's been since it was last fired.

The ones I've fired you could pump from 5-10 pumps. A little oil where they move and you can beeswax the seals in them once every now and then. Store it with one pump in it to keep the seals tight.
