Korean BBQ Marinade

For up to 3 Lbs. of meat, just add water to fully cover meat:1 Cup Soy Sauce (soup kind you get at Korean grocery or Chung King brand at reg. store)1 cup sugar (I like it sweet)1 bundle chopped green onions1 chopped large white or yellow onion1 handful chopped garlic1 teaspon of sesame seed oil for favorMakes great jerky marinade too!Ed

Yup, that's a great marinade. Add a little chopped fresh ginger to it for the Asian zing. Marinade the meat for 24 hours before grilling. I use this marinade for flap steak and it's fantastic. Top the grilled steak with a light sprinkle of sesame seeds and serve with a scoop of macaroni salad. Add a mai tai and you're set. It's essentially the Kalbi Korean BBQ ribs recipe from Aloha Mixed Plate in Maui, our favorite place to eat when we're vacationing there.
