Sako question

3 posts in this topic

I've got a friend that has a gorgeous Sako 74 in 222 with a Mannlicher-type stock. I've been trying to figure out a fair price to buy it from him but all my reference books don't have this particular gun. Does anybody have a idea of value?

Dale in my Gun traders Guide I found a SAko mannlicher-style carbine standard calibers 860$ its the model with the wood that gos to the end of the barrel right? In my 98 edition shooters bible it says medium action 243 and 308 1274.00 neither book has that mannlicher-style rifle in the 222 he must have put that stock on the sako 74. Hope this helps.......The book shows sako 74 in the 222 depending on short action heavy barrel any where between 500 and 600It looks like too me the mannlicher-style stock didn't come on the 74 model.

Yea that's what I was seeing too but this gun looks original. I'll have to do some more research I guess. It is sure pretty and hardly shot.
