7 posts in this topic

If I find a Firarm out of state that I want to buy, is there a local FFL that will receive it for me.So far the ones I have asked want to charge $100.00 or more to receive it for me ;) What a rip  By the time I pay shipping, Dros, tax and their receiving fee I might as well buya brand new one local.

There are. And as I understand it, if its your rifle that you loaned to a buddy and you're just sending it through a FFL to satisfy current CA firearms law then there isn't any tax to pay.

Some FFL's have been charging tax! On a high dollar firearm, that CAN be quite some cash! I have a FFL/Gunsmith that does my transfers for $30-$50 depending on cost of firearm. Bad thing is he won't do any transfers on firearms that cost more than $1,000? I'm glad that doesn't happen to often
