Once upon a time there was a piece of hickory

Went and found a good piece of hickory ,had great grain to it . Going to try and make a reflex long bow. Going to have walnut and elk horn overlay .And walnut and elk horn on the tips. lLong ways to go .Going to shoot for 60-65 @ 28" 70" long. Heres some pics so far so good. That great Tim. We made recurve bows in high school woodshop and they worked great. A long bow should be really nice.

Thinking apricot instead of walnut for the riser and tips. Maybe both.Taking a break need to kill that deer in my back yard.
