Les Johnsons' Predator Quest

28 posts in this topic

I'm not sure how many of you all have watched this show on the Pursuit channel, but if you have you've seen that Les uses a bipod on his shotgun. I wrote them an email and got the manufactures website. If anyone is interested drop me a PM. They retail for 14.99 and come in both 20 and 12 gauge models. I haven't ordered mine yet but I'll be order two as soon as I get my next pay check.

I don't know about a bi-pod on a shotgun? I'm not big on them on a rifle. Looks a bit short and you're not after pinpoint accuracy with a shotgun. It's a speed weapon for short distance. But hey, it's only money.

I think its just to set your shotgun on the ground while your holding your rifle? Makes it easy pick up quickly? If it aint, I think It would be a good idea.

That makes more sense due to the size of it. But i haven't seen it used in the show they're talking about.

Although no one can say Les isn't one of the best callers or coyote hunters around, his show is just mainly a half hour infomercial and he uses what he sells filming the shows. I wonder if he uses that stuff off the show in his regular hunting for coyotes. ...Walt

no need for bipods on my scattergun seems like it would be a PIA.
Depending on terrain I'll either carry one of my long-range pistols and a shotgun or a rifle. The bipods purpose is to keep the shotgun in a ready position with the action and barrel out of the snow, mud, sand or dust. If I go to the pistol it's nice to know I won't have a barrel full of crud. The only time I can see it being a PIA is if I were bird hunting and that's a totally different shotgun.

I just ordered Les' new video, perhaps it will be on that video and I can see how he uses it. I know he often takes a shotgun and rifle to his stands so having something to keep the shotgun off the ground for quick access makes sense.

I met les at the Expo two years ago. I bough his DVD don't remeber seeing him using any Bipods for his shotgun. He would just having it lying in his lap. Probably a new sponsor.

I need to come up with a plastic bush that you hold up in front of you to camo yourself. Then get someone like Les to feature it on their show and sell them for $29.99. :doh[1]:

Thought I'd bring this back to the topI bought one of the Bi Pods after seeing it on PQ.Its great!!!! Set your shot gun down, without getting mud or snow in or on it, Same as you would your rifle that has a Bi Pod on it.Hands free to call or glass the area, without worrying about your scattergun sliding off your lap & fouling the muzzle. :) Heres a pic of my BPS with the Bi Pod, LeeIMG_1434.jpg

I use wooden shooting stix. that looks too low to me. I did brake a set of wood stixs one handed emptying out my benelli on a coyote last year.
