Flipper Light

9 posts in this topic

I looked around previous posts a little bit, but didn't find what I was looking for. I was wondering if anyone has had any success in building there own flipper light? I'm relatively new to the night hunting, but love it. I've seen the ones from Predator Magnet, but they're a little rich for my blood. If anyone has made one, or can point me in the right direction in learning to make one, I would certainly appreciate it. Hope everyone had good holidays....

It has a lens in it that's colored. You pull the trigger the lens turns sideways and you now have a white light.

Gotcha. I just put something together, that is a simple and related idea. You can purchase an "accessory" pack for the maglite flashlights. My buddy got me one for my D cell maglite as part of a Christmas gift and it comes with a few filters and a rubberized collar that can hold one of the lenses. So, I put the red filter in the rubber surround and it's very quickly removable for white light. Just an idea if you've got a maglite laying around. not nearly as cool looking as that though, John. :)

I have two of these things in different voltage. But I still grab an old beater plug in light when I can use 12volts. These things are bright enough you really don't need to flip the light. But they are cool so Heath and I have that going for us. :)
