  1. It's been a while since I've posted anything, mostly due to work, but I finally managed to get out yesterday and do some fishing. Got to the beach around 1:30PM and left around 3:10PM. During that time I caught 4 small corbina that went back and 1 decent sized one that went home :D.
  2. Ray, I'm reading it the same way. I'm hoping to get out next weekend. We've been having more rain this year than last year and I've seen more roadkill lately so I'm hoping there's more rabbits.
  3. I wouldn't think it would be a problem if the restrictions you provided are accurate since an Improved Cylinder choke has a .010 restriction. However, you may want to contact your choke manufacturer for your safety.
  4. You'll just need to use the lead ammo for plinking, not hunting.
  5. Sounds like good data, thanks for sharing.
  6. I don't have a place that sells reloading equipment around me which is one of the reasons why I got the Lee Load All. I figured I'd give reloading a try to see if I like it before I put more money into it. Are there any websites anyone can recommend to keep an eye out for supplies?
  7. I've been wanting to get into reloading for a while now so I've been doing a lot of reading and while I don't feel I know enough about the subject, I purchased a Lee Load All II from Amazon for $41.97 (to door) since it was on sale. I don't plan on actually starting until sometime next year since I don't have any components and my measly sporting budget is already spent. This gives me the time to do additional researched guided by you guys. I plan on buying my target loads since I don't think I could make them any cheaper but I was thinking of reloading my hunting loads. My questions are as follows: 1. I was thinking of purchasing this scale to check powder/shot weights. Is Frankford a reliable company? Frankford Arsenal Reloading Scale http://www.amazon.com/Frankford-205205-Arsenal-Reloading-Scale/dp/B002BDOHNA 2. Where do you guys buy your components? Online or local shop? If buying online, is the additional hazmat fee worth it for the powder/primers (I haven't yet performed a cost analysis due to the powder shortage? At least that's my excuse)? 3. Do you guys have a preferred load recipe for upland game or waterfowl? 4. Any tips for a beginner?
  8. Nice job, those are some nice looking rabbits .
  9. Great job on putting it back together. Determination and persistence pays off. I definitely know what you mean, my dad was the same way and I've grown to be the same way as well. Only after it works do I worry about how ugly the wife says it is . I feel the same way about the Suburban my dad left me. I also tell the wife and kids that the car is grandpas when they trash it and it gets cleaned up pretty quick .
  10. As long as you don't include clay pigeons, hand held clay throwers or lead spit from revolvers
  11. Very nice. I'm jealous, I haven't caught a striper in over a year. I'm hoping Friday evening when I hit a local lake though.
  12. I love a good plum and pluot. My wife always goes out to get them when they're a good price. Nothing beats fresh picked though.
  13. Ammunition cannot be mailed by USPS. https://www.usps.com/send/can-you-mail-it.htm?showtab=2
  14. I couldn't possibly see why It reminds me of a time my buddy was trying to sight in his scope for 30 minutes and a cottontail ran from a lone bush in the middle of no where just 10 yards from us.
  15. However! Wherever you go, if you pack it in, please pack it out .
